Just when it looked as though both the Celtics and Pacers were satisfied with the Marquis Daniels sign-and-trade deal, the agreement has run into a speed bump.

According to a report from the Boston Herald's Celtics Insider, Indiana is not happy with what the C's had originally offered the Pacers. The original offer is said to have been Gabe Pruitt and Tony Allen.

The Pacers are believed to be turned off by Allen and his off-court troubles, such as the guard receiving death threats last season when Boston traveled to Chicago to take on the Bulls.

“They need a third team, and that’s complicated,” the Herald's source reported. “No other teams have jumped at it so far.”

Daniels has agreed to join the Celtics, though the 6-foot-6 guard/forward backup would make more in a sign-and-trade deal than for the $1.9 million biannual exception the Celtics can offer in a straight free-agent signing.
