After falling behind Glastonbury National (Conn.) by four runs, Portsmouth (N.H.) mounted a valiant fourth-inning comeback in New England Regional Little League action on Monday night in Bristol, Conn.

But Portsmouth’s three-run rally fell one run short, as it fell to the Connecticut representatives, 5-4, despite outhitting Glastonbury 6-4.

Shortstop Andrew Takahashi went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored at the top of the Glastonbury (2-1) lineup.

Jake Becker and Justis Mattis each homered for Portsmouth (1-1) in a losing effort.
