John Henry has forgotten about his team's six-game losing streak, or so it seemed on Monday afternoon, when he visited the Tadpole Pond playground in Boston Common for a story-telling event. Henry and wife Linda, along with Mayor Thomas M. Menino, read to about 200 children for the fifth week in a row as part of ReadBoston's StoryMobile.
StoryMobile is a six-week festivity that features professional storytellers and other guests, like Henry, who read to children and donate picture books to encourage reading among Boston's youth.
ReadBoston was founded by Menino and is funded by the federal stimulus package.
