David Ortiz Has No Desire to Be General Manager

David Ortiz Has No Desire to Be General Manager David Ortiz likes his job as designated hitter of the Red Sox, but it seems as though he has no aspirations to trade places with general manager Theo Epstein.

“Bring all of them,” Ortiz said to Heidi Watney when asked which players he’d bring in for next season.

Ortiz said that Theo is the right man for the job.

“We had a great year, and we had Theo doing his thing out there,” Ortiz said. “I’m pretty sure he’s going to pick the right pieces to help us out next year.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
