The Boston Celtics will host an assembly to honor high-achieving students in the hopes of encouraging all children to take pride in their classroom work at the Thomas Edison Middle School in Brighton on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Celtics players Rajon Rondo, Glen Davis and Lester Hudson will host the assembly and will also take part in a special clinic with high-achieving students prior to the assembly.

At assemblies throughout the academic year, Celtics players will visit schools to help motivate students to work hard and stay in school. At the end of each year, top students will be honored for academic achievement and perfect attendance.
