Tim Thomas Added to Olympic Team, Concludes Perfect Day The start of the new decade really couldn’t have been any better for Tim Thomas.

The Bruins’ netminder earned a win in the 2010 Winter Classic after Boston came from behind to score a 2-1 overtime victory. Afterward, the Team USA Olympic roster was announced — and his name was on it.

Mark Recchi had a pretty good day, too, scoring the tying goal with 2:18 left in the game, and Marco Sturm registered the winning goal in the extra frame. In case you missed it the first time, NESN will be re-airing the entire Winter Classic on Jan. 13 at 7:30 p.m.

After the game, Thomas, Sturm and Recchi discussed the excitement of playing at Fenway Park and being able to grind out a win.
