U.S. Snowboarder Hannah Teter Sells Underwear for Haiti

Olympic snowboarding champion Hannah Teter is becoming known not only for her skill on the halfpipe, but for her philanthropy. Teter gives her prize money to charities, targeting recovery efforts in Haiti this time around. She recently has started a new effort to supplement her contest winnings: selling women's underwear.

Teter's new venture will donate $5 from each pair sold at $18 to Doctors Without Borders for its work in Haiti. The goal of Sweet Cheeks panties is to raise $100,000 by May.

"I have underwear coming out for charity," Teter told reporters. "So all the ladies in here can get some sweet cheeks underwear soon — sweetcheekspanties.com."

Sweet Cheeks will offer a new design each month to benefit different humanitarian efforts. The current pair benefitting Haiti reads "Make Love Not War."

"It's about gifting, in the name of peace, love, and posterior," according to the Web site.

After winning the 2006 halfpipe gold medal, Teter propelled her charity effort, launching her Web site Hannah's Gold to assist a town in Kenya by getting basic necessities to the area such as clean water.
