The Bruins held their game-day skate at the TD Garden on Tuesday morning, and though a full lineup was expected to to be out there for the B's, Canadian gold medal winner and Bruins leading scorer Patrice Bergeron was nowhere to be seen.
The Canadian forward will miss Tuesday night's game against the Canadiens and is day-to-day with a groin injury suffered at the Olympics.
"No I won't play tonight," Bergeron told the media at the Garden. "I hurt my groin the first week of the tournament and it was fine, but then the last week it got worse, so I'll rest and take it day by day."
Though Bergeron is disappointed to come back with an injury, he did, of course, return with a gold medal.
"As soon as I got it, I put it around my neck, and I've done that a couple times now," he said with a smile. "It was an unbelievable experience that I will never forget."
