"I still believe, I have no doubts in what we're capable of doing," Wallace told the newspaper. "You've always got to believe. I haven't given up on this team, I'm not a quitter."
Wallace has heard his fair share of boos in his first season as a Celtic, averaging less than 10 points per game while shooting only 29 percent from beyond the arc. The veteran has been called a disappointment by many, but Wallace thinks he can help the team turn its season around.
"I think we can do some real big things here, going into these playoffs," Wallace said. "It's a matter of us coming together and going out and getting wins."
The Celtics have 19 regular-season games to prepare for a playoff run. Wallace believes his playoff experiences can help the franchise capture its 18th NBA title.
"This team has been there, no matter where we’re coming from — Mike [Finley] from San Antonio, me from Detroit. The guys here have won it already," Wallace said. "Once the big-boy shots come, we'll be ready."
