Celtics fans will have two treats on Wednesday night at the TD Garden: a possible playoff preview against the Bucks and Fan Appreciation Night.
"Fan Appreciation Night is an opportunity for the entire Celtics organization to thank our fans, sponsors, and community partners for their incredible support throughout the year," said Celtics president Rich Gotham. "We are very fortunate to have such a loyal fan following, and we hope that their support will carry us through the playoffs as we pursue Banner 18."
Celtics captain Paul Pierce will open the evening by thanking fans for their support prior to tipoff. In addition, the team's opening video will feature a montage of fan highlights in lieu of player highlights, and video board messages will feature personalized messages from Celtics players thanking fans for their support.
Fans will receive Celtics Tonight programs prior to the game, and they will have the chance to win gift certificates that New England Eye Center has placed in random programs. One lucky fan will take a blindfolded shot that could earn a $2,000 gift certificate for any person in attendance wearing glasses. Other giveaways include Chipotle providing two rows of Celtics fans with free Burritos Bucks and a parachute drop sponsored by Comcast SportsNet and XFinity.
Season-ticket holders will want to pay attention during halftime as the winner of the team's "Banner Moments" program will be announced. The lucky winner will receive a private suite to an upcoming Celtics playoff game at the TD Garden.
Celtics Fan Appreciation Night will continue after the final buzzer sounds as Boston players autograph their sneakers and give them to fans. In addition, the Celtics' junior dance troupe Lil' Phunk will rock the Garden with a postgame performance.
