The Stanley Cup finals start Saturday, but the NHL is already looking ahead.

According to TSN.com and ESPN.com, the league plans to announce two outdoor games for next season on Friday.

The long-speculated Winter Classic matchup between the Penguins and Capitals at Heinz Field will become official.

The surprise is that there also will be a second outdoor game in Canada, with the Calgary Flames hosting the Montreal Canadiens at McMahon Stadium.

It will be the Penguins' second appearance in the Winter Classic. They faced the Sabres in the inaugural Classic at Buffalo's Ralph Wilson Stadium in 2008.

Calgary will be the second Canadian city to host an outdoor game since Edmonton first hosted the Candiens in the NHL's Heritage Game in 2003.

The Winter Classic still will fall on New Year's Day, while the Canadian game will occur sometime in February.
