Cab Drivers and Beer Beware: Patrick Kane on a Mission at Blackhawks Stanley Cup Celebration
Patrick Kane took the traditional triumphant drink from Lord Stanley’s Cup on Friday as thousands of fans cheered him on.

And then he took a triumphant Bud Light chug.

And then he triumphantly pounded an entire bottle of champagne.

And then he triumphantly repeated that process a few dozen times, and proved it in his heavily slurred and tongue-in-cheek speech to the Windy City faithful.

The young Blackhawks sniper not only single-handedly downed a case of brewski’s during the team’s Stanley Cup victory parade, the forward took an unnecessary jab at cabbies during the speech in front of thousands of screaming Hawks fans in downtown Chicago.

Kane, who was arrested for beating up a Buffalo, N.Y., cab driver last summer, told the crowd, “for all the cab drivers out there, I love you.”

Quote of the day

“My energy, that’s me. I can score points. I can do
all that and play D. I just want to bring energy. The more energy I
bring, the more I get the crowd involved, my teammates, the energy of
the building. The sky’s the limit. I just love bringing energy.”
Nate Robinson, referring to the energy he brings to the Celtics
