Kendrick Perkins, Out for Game 7, Hurting Physically and Mentally

Kendrick Perkins, Out for Game 7, Hurting Physically and Mentally It didn’t come as much of a surprise, but Kendrick Perkins told reporters Wednesday that he wouldn’t be able to play in Game 7 after suffering a knee injury in Game 6.

Perkins announced that he found out that he tore both his MCL and his PCL when he fell awkwardly during Game 6.

“I’d be lying to ya’ll if I said it didn’t hurt, but it hurt,” Perkins explained. “Game 6 of the finals, couldn’t help your team, can’t really do nothing but sit on the side to encourage guys to play better, play well.”

“Physically, I’m doing better than I am mentally,” he added dejectedly.

Be sure to watch the video below for more from Perkins on his injury and why he felt it important to be around his team.
