Los Angeles Riots After Lakers’ Game 7 Victory

It wouldn’t be a Lakers championship without a little riot, L.A. style.

Shortly after the Lakers won their 16th NBA title, fans took to the streets of Los Angeles for a good, old-fashioned hootenanny.

The Los Angeles Times reported that “crowds hurled bottles and other objects at police, smashed marquees, jumped on vehicles, broke windows, and set rubbish dumpsters and vehicles on fire” and that police were forced to fire “non-lethal rounds” to disperse some crowds. One person was “beaten unconscious,” per the report, and a bicycle was hit by a police car. A police officer also suffered a broken nose.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that I just hope Vic “The Brick” Jacobs is safe.

Is this person a fan of both the Lakers and Celtics? That’s not allowed.

“Yeah LA!!!! Hey , how bout this, GET RID OF RAY ALLEN….dude is older than time…Rasheed Wallace too w00t!”

Video of the day

Somehow, Ron Artest thanking his psychiatrist in the immediate wake of the Lakers’ victory was the least surprising event of the night.
