Clay Buchholz Overcomes Delay, Picks Up 15th Win of Season

Clay Buchholz Overcomes Delay, Picks Up 15th Win of Season No matter how the Red Sox’ season ends up, one thing will be for sure: they now know that Clay Buchholz is truly the real deal.

Buchholz kept his impressive 2010 campaign going on Sunday afternoon, tossing six scoreless innings on his way to picking up his 15th win of the season.

And like they have so many times this season — 17 out of his 22 starts to be exact — the Red Sox got the win beating the Blue Jays in the series finale at Fenway Park. The club is now 6-1 in the seven starts the right-hander has made since returning from the disabled list on June 21.

Check out the video below to hear from Buchholz about pitching around a rain delay and overcoming some wildness early in his start on Sunday. Also, hear from Hall of Famer Jim Rice who broke down the start on Sunday’s W.B. Mason Extra Innings Live.
