This weekend, the PGA Tour comes to Boston, but golf fever is already gripping the city.
On Monday, “Chipping in for the Red Sox Foundation” hit Fenway Park. Hall of Famer Jim Rice and a couple of lucky participants took their turns on sinking a chip shot from home plate to a hole set up in the outfield in the hopes of raising money for the Red Sox Foundation.
On Tuesday, the Deutsche-Bank Pro-Am was held at TPC Boston in anticipation of this weekend’s Deutsche Bank Championship, the next stop on the PGA Tour and the next leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs.
On hand for the Pro-Am were local legends like Rice, Dennis Eckersley, Dwight Evans, Carlton Fisk and Ray Bourque.
