The rumblings of many Patriots fans seem to be more than wishful thinking.

After terrorizing Tom Brady for years, the Patriots may be on the way to bringing in former Bills defensive end Aaron Schobel.

Schobel would serve as a replacement for Derrick Burgess, who has been placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list and seems to be retiring.

According to Comcast's Mike Girardi, the Pats have strong interest in Schobel, but Houston, his hometown, may be the favorite, and Seattle is also in the running.

The biggest hurdle will likely be Schobel's price tag, a reality not likely to jive with Bill Belichick's way of doing things.
