FOXBORO, Mass. — The Patriots’ seventh practice of training camp was marked by the return of wide receiver Wes Welker, who was activated from the physically unable to perform list and participated in Sunday morning’s session.

To much lesser fanfare, defensive lineman Kyle Love also returned to the field after missing Friday and Saturday’s evening sessions. Defensive lineman Ty Warren, offensive lineman Nick Kaczur, wide receiver Matthew Slater, outside linebacker Derrick Burgess and left guard Logan Mankins, however, were all absent.

Defensive lineman Mike Wright missed his first practice, but he was on the sidelines working out, as were safety Bret Lockett, running back Thomas Clayton, defensive lineman Ron Brace and cornerback Terrence Johnson.

Cornerback Jonathan Wilhite started practice, but he left the field midway through the session to work out on the stationary bike. He later put his pads back on and rejoined his teammates.

Check back later for the day’s observations.
