Will Shaquille O’Neal Help the Celtics Win Banner 18?

With the latest reports indicating that Shaquille O’Neal has found his new home in the Hub, it’s time to start wondering what the four-time NBA champ can do for the Celtics.

Perhaps earn a fifth ring?

The C’s, who were one win away from a title last season — and played Game 7 without their starting center, Kendrick Perkins — now have added the future Hall of Famer to the mix. The Celts are expected to be without Perkins for the start of the season, meaning they will need an inside presence for at least the first couple of months.

Even at 38 years old, Shaq can still offer plenty to both the C’s offense and defense. In 53 games for the Cavaliers last season, he averaged 12 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

So will Shaq help the C’s win their 18th banner?
