It’s just a couple weeks into the UFL season, but the Hartford Colonials are making moves.

Hartford signed former NFL running back Kevin Jones and defensive back Gerard Lawson to deals on Monday and released running back Dwayne Wright and cornerback Marcus Brown.

Jones was selected in the first round of the 2004 draft by the Detroit Lions, rushing for 1,133 yards in his rookie season. His career fizzled in Detroit and eventually Chicago, however.

Lawson played 20 career games for the Cleveland Browns after making his NFL debut in 2008.
