Hartford Colonials' fans that will be at the season opener are in for a treat.

American rapper B.o.B is set to perform at the Hartford Colonials’ season opener Sept. 18 at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Conn.  He has climbed the Billboard charts this year with his first album, titled "The Adventures of Bobby Ray," which came out this past April.

The Colonials will be playing their first UFL game.  The team previously existed as the New York Sentinels.

B.o.B’s singles "Nothin’ on You" and "Airplanes" were both No. 1 on music charts in the UK and United States.  Adidas used his third single, "Magic," off the album for a recent commercial. This weekend, he will be performing at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles followed by appearances at Yankee stadium on Sept. 13 and 14, where he will be opening up for rappers Jay-Z and Eminem.
