The reports from earlier in the week appear to be true, as Peter King reported Thursday night that Tom Brady and the Patriots have finalized the terms of a four-year contract extension.

Robert Kraft told King that the deal will be approved by the league on Friday, according to King. He made the report at halftime of the Saints-Vikings game, saying that the deal will be for four years at $19 million per season.

That deal would make Brady the highest-paid player in the NFL, in terms of money per season. The deal will kick in following this year, keeping Brady in New England through the 2014 season, when he'll be 37 years old.
