If Red Sox Could Have Any Orioles Player, Who Would You Choose? While the Red Sox and their fans are in an unfamiliar place heading down the stretch with their playoff hopes dwindling seemingly everyday, it's a feeling that the Orioles and their fan base are very familiar with.

The Orioles will end the season in the bottom of the AL East again this year, but that's not to say they don't have a promising future. New manager Buck Showalter has turned that team around, but in reality, they have some good players regardless of who's in charge.

Center fielder Adam Jones is having another solid year this season. He's on pace to hit 20 home runs and drive in 80 runs or so, but the most impressive part of his game might be his defense. He's no stranger to nightly highlight reels.

Behind the plate, the Orioles also have reason to be excited about the future. Catcher Matt Wieters has been touted for a long time as a can't-miss catching prospect. He's struggling this year and fought injury in his first full MLB season, but his numbers will be decent by year's end. If he can continue to improve, he'll likely become the player everyone in Baltimore is hoping and expecting he would be.

The O's also have a couple of quality young arms in Brian Matusz and Jeremy Guthrie. The left-handed Matusz, like Wieters, is a young prospect who the organization is expecting big things out of. He's shown his brilliance at times and will likely only continue to improve with more experience.

Guthrie is also someone who has sporadically shown how dominant he can be. The Red Sox can attest to that firsthand. After all, it was Guthrie who shut down the Red Sox on Mother's Day in 2007, before the Sox made their famous "Mother's Day Miracle" comeback. Maybe Guthrie just needs a change of scenery to really help his career take off.

Outfielder Nick Markakis is arguably the team's best all-around player, while Luke Scott continues to put up impressive power numbers with a team-high 26 home runs in only 119 games this season.

The Orioles aren't a complete team by any stretch of the imagination, but there are some impressive pieces on their roster. So, if the Red Sox had their pick of the roster, which Baltimore Oriole would you most like to see come to Boston?
