David Krejci Plays in Front of Extended Family in Prague

David Krejci Plays in Front of Extended Family in Prague David Krejci's grandmothers have never seen him play as a professional in the National Hockey League, but on Tuesday against Liberec, they got the opportunity.

They'll get two more opportunities this weekend, as the Bruins play their season opener against the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday, and will play in another matchup on Sunday. All games will be played at the O2 Arena in Prague.

NESN's Naoko Funayama caught up with Krejci on Thursday, and the Bruins' center is overjoyed that his extended family can watch him play at the professional level.

"I'm proud and my family's proud," Krejci said. "It's a good feeling, people know a lot about us now, and they're looking forward to Saturday's game."

Thus far, Krejci's shining moment of the trip has been standing in front of the Czech fans at the Liberec game. He said he didn't believe he would get emotional, but with all the fans calling his name and knowing his grandmothers were in the crowd — he couldn't contain his emotions.

Check out his interview below from Thursday's edition of NESN Daily.
