Go Inside the Home of Bruins Defenseman Andrew Ference If you've never seen a worm composter, than you'll need to check out the insider tour of Bruins defenseman Andrew Ference's house.

Ference is one of the most environmentally conscious athletes in the NHL, and he is reducing his carbon footprint in several different ways throughout his home and during the hockey season. At his home — as you'll see in the photo gallery below — Ference shows off his soccer field grown without chemicals and the infamous worm composter.

During the season, Ference encourages other players to donate to his Carbon Neutral Challenge. With the help of the NHLPA, Ference urges other NHL'ers to donate to the effort to neutralize their carbon emissions made while they travel during the season. With the help of environmentalist activist, Dr. David Suzuki, they calculated the amount to neutralize a player's carbon footprint — which is approximately $300.

To see more of Ference's green efforts, or to just see what a worm composter looks like, check out the gallery below. Also, be sure to tune in to the Andrew Ference edition of After The Game: Work Hard, Live Well, Give Back on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
