FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots safety Patrick Chung will not play Sunday due to a knee injury.

Chung was working out on the field with team trainers, indicating he was a game-time decision, but he won’t be able to suit up against the Vikings. The Patriots’ other seven inactive players are running back Fred Taylor (toe), safety Jarrad Page (left calf), wide receiver Matthew Slater (ankle), wide receiver Taylor Price, offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, tackle Mark LeVoir and defensive lineman Kyle Love.

Price (missing his seventh consecutive game), Love (fifth straight), Ohrnberger (fourth straight) and LeVoir (third straight) were not on the injury report this week.

Cornerback Terrence Wheatley will play for the first time this season, and defensive lineman Ron Brace will also play after he was a healthy scratch last week in San Diego.

This is the fourth consecutive game Taylor has missed, and it’s Page’s second consecutive absence. Chung and Slater are missing their first action of the season.
