Bruins Trade Matt Hunwick in Exchange for Colorado Defenseman Colby Cohen

Colby Cohen is coming back to play hockey in Boston.

The Boston Bruins have announced a trade for the former Boston University defenseman as they send Matt Hunwick to the Colorado Avalanche. Cohen will report to the Providence Bruins.

Cohen, who played three seasons with the Terriers before making the leap to the pros, has played in three games for the Avalanche since making his NHL debut on Nov. 6. He has since played 14 games for the Lake Erie Monsters, where he scored one goal and registered 12 penalty minutes.

Hunwick has played with the Bruins since the 2007-08 season, skating in 164 games for the B's. Throughout his three-plus seasons in Boston, Hunwick scored 13 goals and added 32 assists. He recorded one goal and two assists with the B's this season.
