Blake Griffin received plenty of accolades for his dunk against the Knicks on Saturday night, but he probably didn’t think that his opponents would be among those praising him.

“That was actually incredible,” Amare Stoudemire said after the game. “That was a play that definitely sparked the crowd and sparked us. We weren’t expecting that. I’ve had a few of those in my career, so I can understand the feeling he’s going through right now. I’ve been in those shoes before.”

The dunk, over the head of Timofey Mozgov, gave Griffin three of his 44 points, as he earned, and sunk, the accompanying foul shot.

Stoudemire nodded his approval during the game at the Staples Center.

And that wasn’t Griffin’s only big dunk of the contest. He had another one halfway through the fourth quarter, spinning around Danilo Gallinari.

The Clippers still lost 124-115.
