Manny Pacquiao‘s camp has been so outspoken about how bad his training sessions have been that it’s starting to make you wonder if it’s all made up.

Despite the terrible training sessions, trainer Freddie Roach isn’t afraid to look past Antonio Margarito — who will square off against Pacquiao on Nov. 13.

“[Floyd] Mayweather, he’s a little crazy and all that, but he can fight,” Roach said on ESPN Radio in Los Angeles, according to SportsRadioInterviews.com. “He’s a good boxer and I just hope that fight happens because that’s the only challenge out there.”

Despite Roach’s brushing aside of Margarito, the trainer will be sure to keep a close eye on him.

“I’ll be right on top of it,” he said when asked if he’ll be watching Margarito get his hands wrapped before the fight. “I don’t trust anyone in this sport. There will be no mistakes. I will be in the dressing room the whole time he’s wrapping his hands and that won’t be a problem.”

Margarito was caught with illegal handwraps during his fight with Shane Mosley last year. For Roach, handwraps may be the only thing he’s actually worried about.

“You can beat him down the middle all night long,” he said of Margarito. “He’s wide with all his punches. He can’t throw a straight punch if he had to. His footwork is terrible and we will take advantage of that. I’ve studied him quite a bit. He’s a tough guy. He’s got a good chin and that’s his best asset. Overall his boxing skills, he can’t hang with my guy.”

He probably can’t sing like him, either.
