Peter Gammons Says Boston Could Be Landing Spot for Ryan Braun If Brewers Deal All-Star

Peter Gammons Says Boston Could Be Landing Spot for Ryan Braun If Brewers Deal All-Star While fans may be looking for the Red Sox to find a trade partner in Milwaukee in hopes of acquiring Prince Fielder, it’s another All-Star the Sox may took a look at.

Hall of Famer Peter Gammons was a guest on the premiere of Red Sox Hot Stove Live on Tuesday and said that he’s heard that the Brewers may shop outfielder/third baseman Ryan Braun and that the Red Sox would likely be very interested.

Gammons also said that fans hopeful the Sox may acquire Fielder may be out of luck. Fielder is represented by Scott Boras, who has made it clear that if his client is dealt, they’ll be looking for a new contract and will be looking for the type of money that Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira is making.
