Brad Childress has spent the majority of the 2010 season watching both his team and his popularity sink, and the latter took another hit on Wednesday as a group of anonymous Vikings players recently spoke out against their head coach, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

"We know that Childress doesn't have our backs, so why should we have his?" One player asked. "We're playing for us, and we're winning despite him."

At 3-5, it may be too little, too late for the Vikings but they refuse to go down like one of their NFC rivals.

"We got too many good football players, and we won't lay down like Dallas," one player told the newspaper.

Another player went on to say, "As much as I hate Childress, I will keep playing."

Childress appears to have lost all respect from his players, but team owner Zygi Wilf fully supports the head coach as much as he did when he first hired him.

''He embodies class, character, discipline and is a great family man,'' Wilf said when he hired him. ''Bottom line: Brad Childress is a winner.''

If Minnesota continues to stumble along the way they have been they will surely get their wish: a Vikings team led by anyone other than Childress.
