Logan Mankins officially reported to the Patriots on Tuesday, ending a long contract holdout that stretched back to the spring. Though Mankins essentially had to rejoin the Patriots this season in order to become a free agent this winter, he did report earlier than he was required to do so.
With the Pro Bowl left guard back in the mix, the Patriots are adding a top-of-the-line player in the middle of a very long season.
