Finally, the Marco Sturm trade is complete.

The former Bruins' forward passed his physical, and is now on his way from Boston to Los Angeles.

The Kings, who acquired Sturm for "future considerations," put Sturm through a set of multiple tests to ensure that both of his surgically repaired knees were alright.

"It feels great,'' Sturm told the Kings' website. "It was a long two weeks for me, too, Everything was up in the air and it was back and forth a little bit, especially the last two days here. A lot of testing had to get done, but I'm really, really excited to be a L.A. King now, and I'm just going to do my best to help the team and maybe take it to the next level.''

Sturm also said that he hopes to be back playing by next week.
