While most people succumb to the sluggishness caused by a Thanksgiving meal, Tom Brady feasted on the Lions' defense. As a result, the NFL named Brady the AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance.
Brady completed 21 of 27 passes, racking up 341 yards and four touchdown passes, giving him a perfect passer rating of 158.3 for the second time in his career. Brady is now just the third player in NFL history to pass for a perfect rating in multiple games, along with Peyton Manning and Kurt Warner (both have three).
Brady has now receiced Player of the Week honors 16 times. He has led the Patriots to a 9-2 record and is tied for first in the NFL with 23 touchdowns.
Brady and the Patriots prepare to take on the Jets this week as they host the 9-2 rivals on Monday Night Football in a battle for the top spot in the AFC East.
