FOXBORO, Mass. — Patriots running back Fred Taylor is a healthy scratch for the second time of his career, and defensive lineman Myron Pryor won't play Sunday against the Jets due to a back injury.
Pryor is the Patriots' only injury-related scratch Sunday, as the other eight players listed on this week's injury report will be good to go. This is the eighth game Pryor has missed this season with the injury.
Wide receiver Taylor Price (inactive for the 16th time this season), offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger (12th time), tackle Mark LeVoir (11th time), running back Thomas Clayton (seventh time he's been inactive as a member of the Patriots), cornerback Tony Carter (first) and linebacker Marques Murrell (first) round out New England's inactive list.
Wide receiver Brad Smith, who is one of the most dangerous kick returners in the league, will not play for the Jets, leaving that role open for cornerback Antonio Cromartie.
Taylor, who suffered a toe injury in Week 3, is out for the ninth time this season.
