Christina Aguilera‘s national anthem at Super Bowl XLV was the subject of two popular prop bets — the length of her performance and the duration for which she held the final note.
The line on the total anthem length was 1 minute, 54 seconds, a figure that she was nearly exactly at, according to unofficial times.
Aguilera, however, forgot the line in the Star Spangled Banner about “the ramparts.” If she had completed the anthem in full, she would have nearly certainly gone over the Vegas line.
Her final note appeared to have lasted longer than the six seconds that the line was set at.
