Red Sox Ownership Just as Excited as Fan Base for 2011 Season to Finally Get Under Way

Saturday was one of those landmark days that Red Sox fans buried under five feet of snow look forward to so much. This one was the first official workout for the entire team.

And while Opening Day is still about a month and a half away, Sox fans are getting more excited with every day that passes. Fans are excited, players are excited and the guys that own the team and make the decisions, they’re definitely excited too.

“We love to win,” Red Sox chairman Tom Werner said on Saturday on Red Sox Live. “It was a disappointing season for everyone last year.”

After an offseason of impressive changes, however, everyone’s ready for the brighter skies ahead.

“There’s not a cloud in the sky,” Werner said of the Fort Myers weather. “And I don’t think there’s a cloud in the clubhouse, either.”
