Redskins Punt Returner Brandon Banks Stabbed in Night Club Fight

The Washington Redskins can’t seem to avoid trouble.

According to NBC, the police said Redskins rookie punt returner Brandon Banks was involved in an argument at D.C. club “The Park” at about 3 a.m. on Saturday. The fight escalated and a suspect, 24-year- old Jason Shorter of Lanham, Md., who is now in police custody, attacked Banks and a friend with a knife.

Banks is in stable condition with superficial knife wounds, and the other friend is in crtical conditon at a local hospital. Before the fight, Banks tweeted at 1 a.m. that “park gonna b to much for me tonight.”

Also, teammate Albert Haynesworth has been officially charged with assault for allegedly punching a motorist during a Feb. 2 scuffle at a red light, CNN reports.

He was arrested, interviewed and released after signing the warrant. The Fairfax County Polic Department said that he will appear in criminal court on March 31.
