Wes Welker Congratulates Ray Allen With Foot Joke, May Face Further Punishment From Bill Belichick

Several Boston celebrities and fans were featured in an online video from Vitaminwater to congratulate Ray Allen on breaking the NBA’s all-time record for 3-pointers. One of them was Patriots receiver Wes Welker, who built upon his well-documented history of making foot jokes.

“Even though your toe was on the [3-point] line probably a few times, we’re still gonna give it to you, man,” Welker said. “You did a heck of a job.”

The last time Welker used the word “toe” in a public forum, he was benched for the Patriots’ first offensive series in their playoff game against the Jets. There’s no word yet on whether Bill Belichick has seen the latest foot joke or if he plans to make Welker run laps and do extra push-ups in training camp as punishment.
