Throughout his life, former Toronto Maple Leaf Ace Bailey was always helping sick children by visiting them in the hospital. Now that he's passed on, his wife Katherine continues his hard work through the Ace Bailey Foundation.
During a recent interview on The Big Bad Bruins Show, Katherine discussed what projects they've completed through the foundation what they and are doing to help sick children and their families. The first completed project was "Ace's Place," a large multi-use playroom at Tufts Medical Center. Up next, another Ace's Place — but this time in the pediatric emergency room.
Bailey remembered Ace as someone who loved children, a big kid himself who never really grew up. Ace used to make visits to the hospital with Bruins legend Bobby Orr.
