The Nuggets may have a new-look roster out on the court, but they'll be keeping the same coach on the sidelines for years to come.

According to league sources, head coach George Karl has agreed to a multiyear extension with Denver, ESPN.com reports.

Karl's extension is reportedly worth at least three years, adding on to his seven-year tenure in Denver. The extension had been discussed between Karl and team president Josh Kroenke and general manager Masai Ujiri throughout the 2010-11 season.

The longtime NBA coach has led the Nuggets to the playoffs every year since his arrival in 2005, taking the team all the way to the conference finals in 2009, where they lost to the Lakers.

Karl is in his 23rd year coaching at the professional level, as he's also worked with the Cavaliers, Warriors, SuperSonics and Bucks. He ranks seventh on the all-time wins list with 1,022 victories, reaching the 1,000-win milestone on Dec. 10.
