Tom Caron and Jim Rice thought long and hard about which Red Sox player deserved the prestigious honor on Saturday, but they decided on Red Sox Final that Carl Crawford was a worthy recipient.
T.C. said John Lackey may have been the star of the game for the Sox, but the chocolate Easter bunny is also about inspiration and being a gamer.
Crawford had two hits in the ballgame, including his first home run as a member of the Red Sox. Since he was in Anaheim, though, an emotional Jim Rice accepted the award on Crawford’s behalf.
