Dan Shaughnessy Thinks Red Sox Could Soon Explore Other Options at Catcher

With Jarrod Saltalamacchia struggling a bit thus far, Red Sox captain Jason Varitek has seen an increase in playing time lately.

But Dan Shaughnessy dropped by Red Sox Gameday Live to give his opinion on the Red Sox catching situation.

"I think the Sox are probably more actively looking for catching than they're admitting," he said.

To hear what else Shaughnessy had to say, as well as hear Jim Rice's take on the situation, check out the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
