The Patriots have continued to restock their aging offensive line in the 2011 draft, selecting TCU lineman Marcus Cannon in the fifth round.

Cannon was a three-time All Mountain West selection and a third-team All American in 2010. He also was All-MWC in track in 2009, after finishing second in the shot put at the conference championships.

Cannon is physically imposing at 6-foot-5, 358 pounds. While he was a tackle in college, he may move to guard in the NFL. ESPN had him as the 131st-overall prospect, while CBS rated him much higher, at 50th overall and multiple mock drafts had him as high as the late first round.

His stock was said to have slipped due to health concerns.
