NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wants to have mandatory HGH and performance-enhancing drug testing as part of the new collective bargaining agreement, so much so, that he took an HGH test himself.

In an interview with USA Today, Goodell discussed in detail the problems facing the league and certain things that the league wants in the next CBA.

One of the more polarizing issues is HGH and performance-enhancing drug testing, which many players have spoken out against publicly, chastising the commissioner for the hard line he's taking on it.

Goodell talked of his recent drug test, saying "I just had my HGH tested in the last couple of weeks. I wanted to see what was involved in the testing. They came in here at 9:30 in the morning, completely unannounced, and I went through the procedure. The same one our players would go through."

When asked what the results of the test were, Goodell was coy about how he did.

"I can't disclose it because of the confidential nature of it," he explained. "Let me put it this way: I'm proud of my results."
