Bruins Will Need to Show Discipline in Game 7 After Tampa Bay’s Power-Play Breakout in Game 6

The Bruins' power play has dominated much of the talk surrounding the B's all spring throughout their playoff run. It's been with good reason, too, as the Boston unit has been far from impressive, and that may be putting it nicely.

However, in Game 6, the other half of the Bruins' special teams, the penalty kill, picked a bad time to have one of its worst games of the playoffs. NESN.com's Douglas Flynn touched on that some in the latest installment of "Across Enemy Lines," saying that Boston could only keep the vaunted Tampa Bay power play down for so long.

Because of that, Flynn says the Bruins will have to do a better job of staying out of the box in Game 7 on Friday night, as to not let the power-play momentum carry over for the Lightning.

"The Lightning outhustled the Bruins and beat them to every loose puck, with St. Louis' goal coming on a third-chance rebound in front," he said. "Scoring that goal, and doing it that quickly, then gave the Tampa power play some extra confidence, and that snowballed into their later chances. With that unit clicking again, it will be more important than ever for the Bruins to be disciplined and stay out of the box."
