Ray Lewis Predicts Rise in Crime If NFL Lockout Persists

While many of his colleagues seem to be enjoying the leisure of the NFL lockout, Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis couldn't find the situation more dire.

In fact, he even believes that the consequences of the work stoppage — which he attributes simply to the egos of owners and players — could be as far reaching as an increase in crime.

"Do this research if we don't have a season — watch how much evil, which we call crime, watch how much crime picks up, if you take away our game," Lewis told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio.

"There's too many people that live through us, people live through us," he said. "Yeah, walk in the streets, the way I walk the streets, and I'm not talking about the people you see all the time."
