CelticsLife.com points out that a Sports.ru report says that CSKA Moscow is interested in signing Celtics big man Nenad Krstic to a long-term deal. Krstic, 27, was acquired by Boston along with Jeff Green at the trade deadline for Kendrick Perkins and Nate Robinson.
The 7-foot center played in 24 games (20 starts) for the Celtics, averaging 9.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. In the playoffs, he was benched in favor of Jermaine O’Neal, and averaged 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in limited playing time. Krstic had his most successful season with the New Jersey Nets in 2006-07, averaging 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Moscow has featured NBA players such as Andrei Kirilenko and Darius Songaila in the past. CSKA president Andrey Vatutin hasn't confirmed or denied the rumors. Krstic is currently an unrestricted free agent.
