LeBron James may be the first superstar athlete in the peak of his career to be a part owner of a sports team with global reach, but that doesn’t mean he’s totally alone.
Fellow former NBA MVP Steve Nash, a sibling of two soccer players and a member of two pickup teams himself, is part owner of Vancouver Whitecaps FC in the MLS, and was an original investor in the Womens Professional Soccer League (WPS).
Nash recently gave James his stamp of approval, saying that he thought it was “great” that the Heat star had become a part owner of Liverpool FC.
