Tom Brady is back in New England this week, and he'll use his time in the area to orchestrate players-only workouts with his Patriots teammates, according to ESPN.

The workouts will begin Wednesday, according to the report, but the exact location and the duration of the workouts is unclear. Brady, who has spent the majority of his offseason in California, will host his second annual Best Buddies football game Friday at Harvard.

Patriots defensive captain Jerod Mayo has led nearly three months of workouts in Foxboro with about 15 Patriots teammates, but Brady hasn't been in attendance for those.

Brady's workouts were geared toward offensive players, particularly pass catchers, according to the report. Wide receiver Julian Edelman tweeted Tuesday that he was flying from California to Massachusetts, so it seems likely he'll be in attendance. The report insinuated Wes Welker might also be present.

Tight end Rob Gronkowski, wide receiver Brandon Tate and quarterback Brian Hoyer have spent the majority of their offseason in Massachusetts, so it would make sense if they also attend Brady's workouts.
